The club’s AGM has been arranged for Friday 14th November at Millfield’s Hotel, Bargate, Grimsby at 7pm.
At last years meeting I expressed my desire to step down from the role of chairman and as a man of my word will not be standing for re-election at this meeting. If anyone wishes to be considered for this role then please e-mail me your interest. I took on the role after Iain Chalmers stood down 3 years ago to try and keep the club going, but now feel it is time for someone else to take over and bring in some new ideas and rejuvenate. The support from members over this past year has been disappointingly low and you must appreciate that a lot of time and effort is put into organising events such as the duathlons, which I don’t begrudge doing if they are well supported. If no one is prepared to take on my role then the club has no option but to fold. Two years ago a club constitution was formed and it was agreed that any monies collected would be donated to local charities. I hope to see some of you at the AGM as there are some important decisions to be made !!
Yours in anticipation
