Well done to Tony Hopkins who did the 30km Valentine’s Day run at Stamford and clocked a very respectable 2 hours 13 minutes and 37 seconds in preparation for his London Marathon debut in April.
Your chairman completed the Hardmoors trail marathon in 3 hrs 59 minutes and gained 4th place overall. The route was 27.5 miles with 4000ft of climbing and certainly lived up to its name. This event is highly recommended with friendly competitors and hosts alike and the next in the series is at Wainstones on 7th April-check out their web-site for details. Some of you might recognise the fella featured in the photo below-he won last year’s deca ironman-10 consecutive ironman distances so I was in good company.
Unfortunately only two people have expressed an interest for the off-road duathlon this Sunday so it will be cancelled. I will post dates for the summer series in due course-lets hope these get a bit more support
