The off-road duathlon is cancelled tomorrow and will be rescheduled when the weather improves.

If anyone fancies an off-road fell race then next Sunday-27th January is the infamous ‘Tigger Tor’ fell race in the Peak District just on the outskirts of Sheffield. An entry form can be obtained from the or you can enter on the day-it is 10 miles and involves a ‘bit’ of climbing. I will be going so let me know if you fancy this winter warmer and we can go in convoy or share.

The ‘hard moor’ off-road marathon series (google hardmoors trail marathon) is another series of events taking place in the North Yorks Moors and offers something a bit different-is worth taking a look at especially those considering half and full distance ironman events this year . I am doing the marathon event on 17th Feb from Osmotherly and will report back after on what it was like. It does offer shorter distances as well.

Look forward to seeing some of you on Feb 1st for our annual meal out and listening to the exploits of X-olympian Tony Whiteman-our guest speaker who broke the 4 minute mile outdoors last season!! and now holds the infamous Croxby Crawl one lap record.

Best wishes and stay warm
